Sarah Tippets comps
my idea was to have the Holy Ghost (represented by a dove) tugging on his sleeve, encouraging him to leave.
Hillary Laurent - Comps
On this first image and possibly on the others... I am planning on making
the friends black and white while Gary turns to color (representing the "bad feeling
slipping away").
That is a bike wheel in the bottom left corner. I didn't relize it didnt read
very well until I put it on the blog.

Daniela Vicente- COMPS
While his friends are looking at the video on the phone, Gary is not feeling well. He is debating between staying with his friends or listening to the feelings in his heart.
Group of friends under a tree after riding their bikes. They start watching a video on the phone and Gary tells them he needs to leave
M. Alice Abrams comps
These are my rough comps. The kids in the bottom color one would look more similar to the kid in the sketch in the upper one, but I just wanted to get the general gestures and expressions of the kids. The kid on the left especially needs a little more work on anatomy, but most if not all of them do. I will be collecting reference for them this weekend so I can get that right. The color one would also have a few trees and houses on the hill, similar to the one on the top. can we change the color of the font?
Alex Harvey Comp Drafts.
For this first one I'm trying to make sure the boy is separated from the others. To get this I have physically moved him back while also keeping his value more high key. The other boys are also made darker to reflect their mood.
I made this second draft to explore other story points which offered different compositional opportunities. I do like that he is literally moving away in this piece while at the same time the other boys aren't vilified.
Any feedback is most welcome. Thanks!
