These are my rough comps. The kids in the bottom color one would look more similar to the kid in the sketch in the upper one, but I just wanted to get the general gestures and expressions of the kids. The kid on the left especially needs a little more work on anatomy, but most if not all of them do. I will be collecting reference for them this weekend so I can get that right. The color one would also have a few trees and houses on the hill, similar to the one on the top. can we change the color of the font?
hi alice, i like the color comp better, except for the title design, but don't worry about that, i'll be working with the type. the color of the title will be my decision too. make sure it doesn't look like the blond boy is laughing at the main boy leaving. also, even when you add trees & stuff in the background, you can move the figures up on the page a bit.
